Chatting

Press M to EMOTE.

Press T to SAY things:
Put # at the start to WHISPER.
Put @ at the start to make a SUBTLE whispered emote.
Put * at the start to EMOTE alternatively.

Left Screen Menu

You can Left-Click and Right-Click menu objects to get different types of information. You can shift left click physical objects to inspect.

Death

When you die you can press the big button to the left to move on to the Underworld, or you can ghost around

In the SPIRIT tab you can Ghost Up or Ghost Down to help traverse terrain.

When you die you need a Toll to give to the Ferryman, to then use the carriage to respawn.

Tolls are out there somewhere, don't get lost. Or you can wait 15 minute. Or someone might do a proper burial on your dead body.

Play a towner role

You are less likely to die and have a chance to learn what the game is about. It may not be as exciting if you play passively, but if you play actively and look to roleplay with others actively and assertively, it can be just as fun as other roles. Don't be afraid. Simply be your character. It is not you.

Pick a flaw

Choosing no flaw, when you have no triumphs to spend, will make you randomly choose one from the list. If you find that your arm no longer works in a new round, it's because you rolled the one arm flaw.

How to sleep

Lay down. Close your eyes by clicking one of the arrow buttons above or below the eye, next to the doll.

How to drink without a cup

To drink from a water source: Use bite intent and middle click.

How to climb

Have an empty hand. Click on wall to go up. Make sure there is a tile you can climb onto by looking up. For trees, branches are a good indicator. Click on empty space in front of you to go down.

How do I look up or down

Shift + RMB or Shift + F on the empty tile you're on to look up. Shift + RMB on the empty tile next to you to look down. You may have to click around.

Is there a doctor

The church has healers. Sleeping can heal minor wounds, as well.

How do I respawn if I died

Spirit Tab. Go to the underworld. Find a toll coin. Turn it in to the ferryman. Go into the ferry. Otherwise, wait 15 minutes for a toll coin to spawn in your hand. Don't get lost. For the respawn bit, it's also worth mentioning that if you wait for someone to do burial rites on you(through both magical and non magical methods) you get to skip the afterlife bit.

Are there any buildings I can enter into in town

Yes, there are buildings to go into like the tavern. Be curious and try the stairs. They lead to places of interest. Don't be too curious, as curiosity, indeed, kills the cat.

What can I do in this game

You can get a job or work for yourself and gather businesses. You can be a criminal. You can be a mercenary. You can be devout and celibate. You can be a degenerate. Do what is interesting for you and others. As long as you are roleplaying in good faith, you can do whatever. There are limitless possibilities!

How can I survive the bog as an adventurer

As an adventurer and pilgrim, you start out in a dangerous swamp. You need to head north. Sneaking lets you avoid ambushes. Also, going in water risks getting leeches.

How to remove leeches

Click on the heart. It shows you all of your limbs, and their health. Then pull the leeches off.

How to surrender

RMB on Combat Mode surrenders. The default hotkey is Shift + X. It's good to pair with verbally stating the fact that you yield.
