Summoning is the method through which mages acquire a majority of their material. Crafting, enchanting, ritual runes, all take various materials, which primarily comes from killing summoned creatures.

Summoning contains three summoning planes.

Each plane has 4 tiers of summoning.

Warning: Tiers 1 and 2 are designed specifically to be doable by a solo mage. Tier 3 is recommended to have a partner, if not more, and tier 4 summoning rituals can not be performed unless 3 people with arcana knowledge are actively present.

The three planes are: The Infernal plane, The Fae Plane, and the Elemental plane.

Many of these rituals require Arcanic Melds. Arcanic melds are obtained by combining components from of each planar creature of a tier.

Eg: For tier 1 arcanic melds You require 1 infernal ash, 1 elemental mote, and 1 fairy dust.

Tier 2 Arcanic melds require 1 hellhound fang, 1 iridescent scales, and 1 elemental shard.

Etc.

The Infernal Plane

T1 summon: The Infernal imp; Summon cost 2 Ash, 1 obsidian.

Infernal Imps are small creatures. Very quick, they throw small balls of fire and maintain distance. On death, they drop infernal ashes.

T2 Summon: The hellhound; summon cost 2 infernal ash, 1 obsidian, 1 arcanic meld(t1).

The hellhound is a moderate sized canine. Fairly fast, they are a melee attacker, that sets it’s victims on fire every so often. On death, they drop hellhound fangs.

T3 Summon: The Watcher; summon cost 2 Hellhound fangs, 2 obsidian, 1 arcanic meld(t2).

The watcher is a moderate floating orb made of magma. It keeps a modest distance, while firing fireballs at it’s foes. Anyone who goes into melee with it, will be met with the watcher surrounding itself with fire hotspots. On death, it drops an infernal core.

T4 Summon: The Fiend; Summon cost 1 moltencore, 3 obsidian, 1 arcanic meld(t3).

The fiend is a moderate sized demon. It is quite slow, fires fireballs similar to the watcher, and will summon reinforcements in the form of imps and hellhounds. It also calls down a meteor storm every so often in combat.

The Fae Plane

T1 summon: a sprite; Summon cost, 1 manabloom, 2 berries

The sprite is a small fairy, that darts between keeping distance and darting forward to bite it’s foes. On death it drops fairy dust.

T2 summon: Glimmerwing; Summon cost 1 manabloom, 2 fairydust, 1 arcanic meld(t1)

The glimmerwing is a moderate sized fae, flying about. It attemps to keep the distance closed, and sprays poison druggy powder onto it’s foes. On death, it drops iridescent scales.

T3 summon: Dryad; Summon cost 2 manabloom, 2 iridescent scales, 1 meld (t2)

The dryad is a large slow moving fae. Every so often, and sprouts weepvines in a wide area, as it slowly approachs. It is quite tanky, compared to the rest of the fae. On death, it drops a heartwood core.

T4 summon, Sylph; Summon cost: 3 manabloom, 1 heartwoodcore, 1 arcanic meld(t3)

The sylph is a moderate sized, fairly quick moving fae. It fires bursts of ice magick projectiles, and summons kneestingers around itself every so often. Each of it’s projectiles apply a speed debuff, so getting hit makes it harder to avoid the next barrage. On death, it drops sylvan essence.

The Elemental Plane

T1 summon: elemental crawler; Summon cost 3 stone, 1 manacrystal

The crawler is a small elemental that is fairly slow, albeit more tanky then it’s fellow T1 summons from other planes. On it’s death, it drops elemental motes.

T2 summon: Elemental warden; Summon cost 2 elemental motes, 1 manacrystal, 1 arcanic meld(T1)

The warden is a medium sized elemental that like all elementals, is relatively slow. Each of it’s punches however, knock back the target a good distance, as well as being particularly heavy hitting. On death it drops an Elemental shard.

T3 summon: Elemental Behemoth; Summon cost 2 elemental shards, 1 manacrystal, 1 arcanic meld(t2)

The behemoth is a large sized elemental, that like all elementals, is relatively slow. Like the warden, each of it’s punches fling it’s target away from it. It also has an ability to call ‘quakes’ down upon it’s target, giving a brief warning in a 3x3 zone, before causing stone to rise up from below anyone in that area and knock them over. On death, it drops an elemental fragment.

T4 summon: elemental colossus; summon cost 1 elemental fragment, 1 mana crystal, 1 arcanic meld(t3)

The Collossus is a HUGE sized elemental, that like all elementals, is relatively slow. It throws heaping boulders at targets that have a somewhat low chance to fragment into crawlers, creating them around what it hits. It also as a stomp attack the flings those near it away. On death, it drops an elemental relic.
